Description

The EMERGE Student Ambassador Force (SAF) is a network of student representatives from the nine EMERGE partner universities (3 per partner and each associate academic partner). SAF ambassadors contribute to shaping the future of European higher education through participation in cross-border events, student engagement initiatives, and alliance-wide activities.

This is a new opportunity and has potential to be expanded to other work packages within the Emerge project. 

  • Work Package 8 on Resilience, Sustainability and Inclusion 
  • Participate in the workshop (BIP) in November in UMB including pre & post mobility sessions. 
  • Draft BIP at UMB in Slovakia in person sessions 10th Nov 2025 to 14th Nov 2025 includes sessions on Emerge and its partners, Intercultural session, How to support an international student, student projects presentation, how to organise an emerge event on campus, communications workshop, digital communications, project methodology
  • Pre mobility session would be to draft an inter-university initiative to be implemented in 2026
  • Post mobility session comprises presentations of projects    
  • Support & Organise Emerge events in their home campus
  • Promote Mobility & Emerge alliance through social posts. Note the number of events and posts is subject to change

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Key Responsibilities defined in the EMERGE Grant Agreement include

• Represent UL and EMERGE at European events, student forums, and online campaigns

• Contribute to the co-creation of the EMERGE degree and joint teaching innovations

• Support the creation and dissemination of mobility testimonials and success stories

• Participate in immersive student events and workshops to promote mobility and inclusion

• Serve on panels awarding EMERGE teaching prizes

• Collaborate with student associations across the alliance to enhance student life

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Attendance and Participation in the Student mobility including training and pre & post mobility sessions.

Additional screening required for this role::
Application form EMERGE project Team to shortlist SAF-interested candidates based on motivation, mobility experience, and intercultural mindset. Invite shortlisted applicants for a short (potentially virtual) interview. Confirm selection and include SAF-specific onboarding alongside regular SA training.
