About Us:Help out and learn about running a Fab Lab




Description

Volunteers will assist in the lab, with various tasks, from materials to machines, and gain hands-on experience. Help us keep our equipment and workspace are in top condition, help our team with demos and open evenings, and assist users with their work.

Note: This is in UL City Campus in the City Centre

Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Assist in equipment maintenance (training will be provided for everything)
  • Help organize the workspace,
  • Help with materials and trying out new equipment.

Benefits of Volunteering:

  • Gain practical experience in how a Fab Lab works,
  • Develop organisational and teamwork skills,
  • Contribute to the smooth functioning of the Fab Lab.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Flexible. Our opening hours are Wed-Sat (10am to 5:30pm) and also Thursday evenings (7:30pm to 9:30pm) We are preparing for open nights and events that may happen outside of these times, but there is no expectation of attending those events. Note: This is in UL City Campus in the City Centre

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hours p/week
