Our vision is an Ireland that believes in every young person, and by becoming a Foroige Volunteer Leader, you are showing your belief in the young people of your community. We have lots of support in place, like training, activities and developmental programmes, to help you lead your club to be the very best it can be. The youths of your community will love the opportunities that you make possible for them.
As a volunteer leader, you will:
Engage with young people in fun and meaningful ways.
Provide support and guidance to help them grow and thrive.
Encourage young people to actively develop themselves and their community.
Collaborate with other Foróige leaders and young people to manage the club effectively.
We need volunteers for 2 hours once a week. We are looking for individuals who can commit at least for 6 months. Volunteers must complete Garda vetting.
If you’re over 18 and have lived outside Ireland, for more than 1 year, you must also provide a Police Certificate.
Training will be provided to ensure you feel confident in the role.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Join us in empowering young people in Foróige clubs through games, activities, and developmental programmes in our Foróige youth clubs.
Tasks include:
- Working with team of volunteers to lead the group
- Take attendance
- Facilitating games and activities, e.g. cooking & baking, sports, arts & crafts
Whats required:
Willingness to work with children and young people
To be open-minded, inclusive and accepting of others
Relatively good level of English to be able to communicate with young people
Personable Skills
Teamwork
