Description

TU Dublin is partnering with Dublin Book Festival this year to bring a day of Festival events to Grangegorman on Wednesday 5th November.

We need student volunteers to help manage the events, guests and audience experience on the day.

Would you like to ensure the speakers, guests and audiences feel welcomed on the day and have a positive experience while hosted by TU Dublin:

The day of events is called:

Sustainability Here and Now In Partnership with Green Foundation Ireland / TU Dublin

TU Dublin academics and authors involved include:
Catherine Cleary, Fintan Drury, Linda Fährlin, John Gibbons, ​Anja Murray, Éanna Ní Lamhna, Randal Plunkett and Lucy Taylor

As sustainability remains one of the most pressing issues of our time, staff, students and the public are invited to join us for a day of stimulating, thought-provoking and inspiring events at TU Dublin’s Grangegorman campus. The day features a range of events with authors whose writing explores sustainable development themes with depth, clarity and actionable insight.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Event stewarding in the spaces where talks are taking place
  • Managing the movement of guests and attendees between campus buildings
  • Managing the book display area

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Wednesday 5th November - according to your timetable - minimum three hours support on the day.

Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hours p/week
