About Us:A research group in UL trying to power the world through movement
Join us for this physical activity workshop where students can test out the technology of the future! Our research team has made tiles that generate a pulse of electricity every time someone steps on them. Students will be divided into teams to play games, dance, and move on to see who can generate the most electricity in an hour. Students should come prepared and dressed for an hour of exercise! This workshop will teach the students all about the underlying mechanisms of converting force into electricity, whilst also getting involved in this current research project that would see these tiles installed around Limerick City to power electronic devices. This event is funded through the UL Citizen’s Assembly and the European Research Council.
