Requirements:An interest in Mental Health
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our out-of-hours, adult, friendly, and supportive community mental health prevention & support service.

Are you passionate about making a difference in Cork City's Mental Health?
Seeking experience in peer, crisis, and recovery-based support?
Have lived experience, and/or are students seeking experience in evidence-based support for mental health and recovery?
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Solace Café: A listening ear and a cup of tea!
Solace Café proudly opened its doors on July 13th, 2023.
We are a free out of hours service offering a comfortable, friendly environment with trained staff to support you through challenges when other services are closed.
Solace Café is a welcoming spot where you can gather your thoughts, draw on your strengths, and connect with others who've been through similar experiences.
It is a unique space for community members seeking support during tough times.
Our team is made up of peer connectors and volunteers from all walks of life.
We are available to lend a listening ear, offer a safe space, and signpost you towards long term support services specific to your needs.
Your well-being is important, and at Solace Café, we're here to remind you that you are never alone.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Flexible commitments. Usually one evening a week.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
