Social Media Manager/Executive - Forest Friends Ireland


Forest Friends Ireland are currently searching for social media savvy volunteers to help build their online presence and engage with the community on their various online platforms.

Successful candidates will be expected to carry out the following functions:

  1. Help grow awareness and the social media audience of the organisation’s platforms through proactive interaction with the public.
  2. Help create engaging and creative content to be on the social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. As well as post regularly organisational updates.
  3. Manage the social media community by interacting with audiences and responding to queries on the platforms.
  4. Provide reports on social media results, proposals, and improvements. Additional working with management to improve the strategy.   
  5. Capturing footage and sourcing material for social media usage.
  6. Adhere to posted content guidelines on relevant platforms.

Strong communications skills, social media management and marketing are required for this role. Additional basic graphic design and video editing skills are required alongside time management, ability to work autonomously, seek guidance where appropriate and to collaborate as part of a team.

Time commitment is any weekdays and a minimum of one hour per week. A portfolio of managed social media accounts/strategies is required for additional screening.
