Enable Ireland Mayo Services
Volunteers are asked to give two hours a week to volunteer with a child receiving services from Enable Ireland Mayo Services, we ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 6 months volunteering. Volunteers and service users are matched based on location and common interests and hobbies.
All volunteers are Garda Vetted. Full training is provided. There are regular check-ins and support provided to all volunteers. This is a hugely rewarding role where you can really see the difference you make to a child with a disability and their family.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Roles vary to meet the needs of the child and their family but some examples of ways volunteers might help out could include - helping a child with a disability with their homework, enabling them to attend extra curricular activities with their peers, take them to the cinema as well as a variety of other things.
Volunteers usually work one-to-one with a child within their home, within their community and at our service centre based in Castlebar. You may volunteer on a weekly basis or for our one off events
Skills required for this role:
Full training is provided. You should have an interest in working with the children that require our services
Details of time commitment needed for role:
We ask volunteers to give 2 hours of their time each week for a minimum of a six month period.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
