Requirements:Passion for volunteering and previous experience. Keen interest in education, learning and European Union funded projects.
eVA-VOL is an online training programme designed for volunteers to help them attain certification from an educational institution for their volunteering work.
In order to gain recognition for informal and non-formal learning that happens through volunteering, volunteers must go through four phases; identification, documentation, assessment and certification. In most cases, the work of voluntary organisations ends with the documentation and the work of educational institutions starts with the assessment. Currently, there is no support system in place for volunteers to transition between the voluntary organisation and the educational institution. eVA-VOL online learning platform was created, through European Union funding, to bridge this gap.
As this is a new online platform, the role of the volunteer will be to take and complete the online course. This will involve working through four units, and it will give the volunteer the opportunity to learn about the different types of learning! Based on your experience, this online module will be rolled out to volunteers across Europe! Your input is vital!
Lastly, four students who have fully complete the online training programme, will be chosen to attend the European launch of the eVA-VOL programme in Brussels, during a five-day trip!
