About Us:Ballina Community Games promotes participation in sport, culture, and community activities among children and young people in Ballina
Ballina Community Games is a non-profit, volunteer-led organisation established to promote participation in sport, culture, and community activities among children and young people in the Ballina area.
The Organisation subscribes to the ethos of Community Games Ireland, including:
We organise and support Community Games events within Ballina. We provide safe, inclusive opportunities for children to participate in sports, arts, and community activities. We encourage teamwork, confidence, and social development. We ensure all activities meet child safeguarding and welfare standards and maintain strong cooperation with County and National Community Games structures.
We are seeking Executive Board Members to facilitate the entry of children and teams in Community Games Events in 2026.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

1. Chairperson
2. Administrator
3. Children’s Officer

Details of time commitment needed for role:
The time commitment is limited to 2 hrs per week in the evenings. When events are on, the option to attend in an ambassadorial role is available. There is also the option to coach and select teams for events if seeking experience in a coaching capacity.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hours p/week
Additional screening required for this role::
A CV is desirable, one interview will be held also. Selected persons will be provided Safeguarding, garda vetting and various other training free of charge.
