Do you want to bump shoulders with world-renowned artists, be part of an exciting festival team and experience the best music, visual arts and theatre at close quarters? We are looking for volunteers to come and help out at Carlow Arts Festival 2019. The 2019 festival runs from 4th to 9th of June. The festival cannot happen without the help of a small army of volunteers who help out with a wide range of jobs before, during and after the festival. Volunteering is a great way to gain experience and get involved with arts, festival and event management. Carlow Arts Festival volunteer roles: -Stewarding -Artist Liaison Assistant -Press Management Assistant -Ticketing and Accreditation -Information Services: answering queries and giving directions -Market Research/Audience Survey

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Get involved with Carlow Arts Festival 6th-10th of June. Help out in a variety of ways throughout the festival such as ushering at performances, invigilating exhibitions, providing info, running messages, handing out leaflets and more, supervising childrens' areas. Festival volunteers will attend a briefing meeting where roles and duties will be allocated.

Skills required for this role:

Flexibility, adaptability, team-working. Good communication skills. Interest in the arts, music, literature would be welcome.

Mornings, evenings and afternoons
