A PAL is a President’s Award Leader, and can be any adult who is involved in supporting the personal development of young people. 

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Through being a PAL, you will gain leadership skills by helping to mentor and encourage the personal development of young people, and contributing to their exciting and challenging transition from teenager to young adult.

You don’t have to be an award holder yourself. We are looking for those with interesting skills, hobbies, or amazing life-experiences who are energised by working with young people. If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.

Very flexible to your schedule

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
