Requirements:TU Dublin Students only - who want to support a great charity Debra Ireland
TU Dublin are partnering with Debra encouraging students (and staff too if they can) to take part in the Run to 40 theme challenge to raise funds and awareness for this special charity.
We want you to get involved, have fun and achieve that feel good feeling!
This year there is a huge push from Debra for awareness and fundraising with new partners and celebrity ambassador Colin Farrell to celebrate his fellow Debra Ambassador Emma who has recently turned 40 in running the Dublin Marathon. Their target is €400,000 and we want to do all we can to help them reach it.
We are excited that the TU Dublin community are coming together to support Debra as a partner and help them achieve their mission - enduring everyone with skin as fragile as a butterfly’s wing can access life-changing services and supports, and so Debra can invest in EB research that can transform lives.
There are approximately 1,000 people in Ireland affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), an extremely painful and incurable skin condition. Of these, 300 live every day with skin that blisters and tears at the slightest touch, like a butterfly’s wing.
TU Dublin students - we call on you to take action with us by joining our TU Dublin overall team with your own sub team or as an individual.
Set yourself a challenge using the theme of '40' and let’s prove the power of the Butterfly Effect – that seemingly small acts can create monumental change for everyone affected by EB in Ireland.
Please show your support and join our fundraiser challenge.
Press apply now and we will send you all the necessary details and answer any questions that you may have.
Look forward to raising much needed funds and awareness with you - our wonderful students.
