Want to welcome migrants into Ireland through English language?
Failte Isteach run by Third Age Ireland is a great way of supporting migrants into Ireland through volunteering activity.
We are setting up a group of 3 to 4 students in TU Dublin, to join together and set up a group to teach a group of migrants on a group and individual basis over zoom, while covid restrictions continue.
The exact time commitment is yet to be determined but most importantly it will be designed to work around your schedule.
Third Age offer training and ongoing support including toolkits and teaching resources to all new groups and you will be supported by TU Dublin Student Volunteering team too.

Skills required for this role:
You do not need to have a qualification as an English teacher but must have a very good level of fluency as an english speaker and be confident in front of small groups and enthusiastic about welcoming people to Ireland and helping them to feel settled and more independent.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
