Requirements:Open to students of LIT's Clonmel and Thurles campuses.
A Green-Campus committee, consisting of an enthusiastic group of students and staff, is leading the drive towards Green Flag status. Participation is open to any student or staff member with an interest in the work of the committee. The involvement of students from a diverse range of courses and the support of the Students’ Union have been key to the success of the initiative to date. Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Volunteering opportunities include attending committee meetings, helping on projects, raising awareness among staff and students, creating visual communications materials, updating social media, etc.
Skills required for this role:
An interest in environmental issues and a drive to improve environmental performance, and some of the following: planning and organisation skills, verbal and written communications, social media, creative talents (graphic design, video, photography, animation), gardening skills.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Week days and evenings during term time.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
