Bohermore Youth Development Project is seeking volunteers to help in clubs between the hours of 3 and 6pm (Mondays and Wednesdays we also have teen clubs until 7:30pm).

Working with us is a great way to gain experience working with young people of all ages (junior infants to leaving cert), and from all backgrounds. Volunteers will get to to work in a very supportive team, running fun activities and also helping in our primary or secondary school homework clubs.

Previous experience working with a children is an advantage. Additional skills, especially in sports, technology, art, music and drama are great to bring to club, but a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team are most important.

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Assisting in running activities- Soccer games, playground games, skills development games, assisting in arts and crafts activities, table quizzes, teamwork development games and personal development programs.

Assisting in primary and secondary school homework clubs, providing suport and supervision.

Assisting young people in online research for projects, exam preparation, CV preparation etc 

Skills required for this role:

teamwork and adaptability are most important

any other skills especially in sports and recreation activities are greatly welcomed

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Monday-Friday 3-6/7:30. Please detail your availability when applying, we can accept volunteers for as little as a two hour window any time during club times.

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
Garda Vetting will be required for this role
