Requirements:We are looking for positive, people-friendly volunteers who could lend a hand packing bags for shoppers. No specific skills are required.

Description

As the national coalition for mental health, we want to make sure that we reach as many people as possible who are passionate about improving mental health services and supports. 

We have been so fortunate to have a group of dedicated and passionate volunteers who give their time to make a difference.

Your support will directly help us to campaign to:
- ensure crisis mental health services are available to all children and young people 24/7; and
- ensure people’s rights are protected in mental health laws and services

We have several upcoming volunteering opportunities and we would really appreciate your support. If you have 2-3 hours free, it would be great to see you there. 

Date: Saturday, 11th of April 2020
Time: 12 PM - 6 PM
Location: Marks & Spencer, Grafton Street, Dublin 2

Shift Options: 

- 12 PM to 3 PM
- 3 PM to 6 PM

A nominal fee for expenses will be provided. Refreshments will be available to all volunteers.

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Volunteers play a vital role to improve mental health services and supports for everyone in Ireland. 

As a Bag Pack Volunteer, you will help shoppers to pack their bags and have the chance to chat to them about mental health and the work of Mental Health Reform. 

Skills required for this role:

We are looking for positive, people-friendly volunteers who could lend a hand packing bags for shoppers. 

A basic level of English is required.

Must be over 18 to take part.

No previous volunteering experience necessary, but if you have previous experience with bag packs, that would be great.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
2 - 3 hours

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
