Limerick Mental Health Assoication supports adults in their mental health journeys. We do this by offering pratical support, counselling, peer support, signposting, wellness and recovery programmes and social activities. We rely on fundraising to fund our services as they are free to the public.
We will be one of the charity partners at this years annual Rotary Tree of Remembrance. This is a great fundraising opportunity for us. It involves directing people to the tree and assisting them in writing their loved ones names on ribbosn to be displayed on the tree.
Is training provided?: No
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
To represent the group in a polite and friendly manner
To assist people writing ribbons for the tree
To inform donors of the work of LMHA
To follow direction of Rotary members
Skills required for this role:
Friendly outgoing persons
Genuinely interested in the charity and it's work
Able to work on initiative and take direction
Details of time commitment needed for role:
The Tree will be in operation from 1st to 22nd December. We will require volunteers to man the tree as reps of LMHA
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
