St Mary's Cathedral Choir

Requirements:Good singing voice and ear for music.
We welcome student volunteers to join our cathedral choir in St Mary's. As a member of the choir you will be taking part in a tradition stretching back many centuries and will be singing at religious services and other occasions in a glorious and historic medieval cathedral at the ehart of Limerick. We practise for two hours on Friday evening and sing at service on Sunday morning. A pleasant singing voice and the ability to sing in tune would be pre-requisites. Some music reading ability and an interest in classical choral music are also useful.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Singing in religious services (and choir practices).
Skills required for this role:
A good singing voice. The ability to sing in tune and pick up music quickly. Some basic music reading skills would be an advantage.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Every week: Friday evenings 5.30pm to 7.15pm; Sunday mornings 10.15am to 12.30pm. Occasional Sunday afternoons/evenings - roughly once a month.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
Audition and interview (relatively informal). C.V. is helpful but not essential.
