EIL Explore is a programme that supports participants with an interest in global issues to travel abroad for the purpose of volunteering, cultural immersion, or language education through a variety of awards. 

Awardees use their experience overseas to learn more about the global community in a supported environment that challenges them to grow personally. The vision is that upon their  return to Ireland, Explorers will have grown as individuals and will use this wonderful learning experience to be agents for change in their local community advocating for a more globally just society.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Each EIL project is unique and you have the opportunity to work with EIL to identify the best project for you! 

Skills required for this role:

Local volunteering is key to developing skills that will be expanded upon in an international setting. 

Details of time commitment needed for role:
International volunteering with EIL includes: -- Pre-departure training -- International overseas placement -- Return Debrief training -- Ongoing engagement with the Global Citizens Award

Minimum time commitment per week:
9 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
