Description

It’s all happening on Friday the 12th of November 2021 at The Chocolate Factory on King’s Inn St, Dublin 1 at 15.00. We are looking for volunteers for the night to help us make this fundraising event a raging success!

The funds raised through this event will support the ongoing development and delivery of SCOOP Ed! SCOOP Ed provides young Internally Displaced People (IDP’s) living in camps in Iraq and refugees in Direct Provision in Ireland with educational programmes focused around Art, IT, Design, Music, STEM subjects, basic English and mindfulness.

Is training provided?: Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

We are looking for volunteers to help out with a range of tasks on the night of the 12th Dec including:

  • General set up of event, seating
  • Welcoming guests and stewarding
  • Serving four-course dinner
  • Bar assistance and serving drinks
  • Merch table

Skills required for this role:

Waiter/Bar experience is desirable but not necessary, there is a range of tasks that we will need help with suitable for all skill sets. The most important characteristic for our volunteers is being enthusiastic about what we do at SCOOP - helping support young people out of poverty! 

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
