Description

To assist in the distribution of food in our food bank to clients registered for our FEAD programme.

 

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Assist in the distribution of food in the food bank
  • Pack food parcels for the food bank
  • Greet clients at the food bank, check to see they are registered and give them a docket for their next collection
  • Assess clients for the FEAD programme
  • Enter new assessments into the database
  • Update collections in the database
  • Maintains inventory controls
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and work stations neat - sweep, dust and mop
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements
  • Comply with all training requirements eg manual handling

3 hour p/week
