Requirements:Interested in mentoring and the Gaisce Award
Gaisce PALs support their fellow students to achieve their Bronze, Silver, Gold medal from the President of Ireland. You are fully trained in your role to take on a mentoring and coaching role.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
For about an hour a week volunteer PALs guide and support students in three areas of personal development:
- community engagement through volunteering projects
- skill development
- physical movement
Skills required for this role:
Volunteers are trained in all aspects of the Gaisce Medal and fully supported to build their coaching skills.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
