Requirements:Guiders must be women aged 18+, with intermediate English, personable skills, work well with girls of all ages.
Guiders will be working with other guiders withing the unit looking after the girls in their care. We do lots of arts and crafts, games, outings, hikes and learn lots of new things along the way.
Guiders need to have good communication skills and be able to work with girls of all ages, be open and willing to try new things.
Guiders help the girls to develop their full potential through a fun programme.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Attend weekly meetings. Help the other guiders to plan and run the meetings. Attend necessary training courses. There are some other activities throughout the year such as camping, hikes, outings, events etc.
Skills required for this role:
Have good communication skills and be able to work with girls of all ages. Be open and willing to try new things.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
1.5 hours per week on Friday or Saturday evenings
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
