The STAND Changemakers Academy is all about equipping you with the confidence, skills and hands-on experience to be advocates for global justice and catalysts for positive change. Run throughout the academic year from November to March, you’ll join 20 other ambitious participants from across the globe to understand the root causes of global inequalities and find your path to bringing about change within your communities, your career and your life. As part of the programme you and a team of peers will be given a challenge which you will be required to respond to over the course of the programme.

2024-2025 STAND Changemaker Academy Dates
Winter School Part: A very important part of the STAND Changemakers Academy is the 5-day long winter school. This year the winter school runs from 8 to the 12 January and takes place in Common Knowledge, Kilfenora, West Clare. The winter school allows participants to be with each other for in an immersive space, to get to know one another. As well as providing the setting for participants to work intensely on their projects, the winter school allows participants to exchange cultural and traditional experiences in a relaxed environment.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
20 participants from a variety of backgrounds and areas of study will be selected to take part in the programme. Applicants sign up below!
The interview will last approximately half an hour. We are looking for participants who can provide evidence of their interest in and commitment to social and global justice; who are curious and open to being challenged, who are committed to being a multiplier and applying their learnings post-programme and in their own communities.
