The KBS, in partnership with the UL President’s Volunteer Award, are currently recruiting volunteer Student Ambassadors. This exciting opportunity will allow Ambassadors to help with the marketing and promotion of the KBS, and the recruitment of prospective students, throughout the academic year 2024/25.
The role will include the following tasks:
1. Coordinating and participating in KBS events, such as Open Days and Taster Events (this will include speaking about the KBS student experience)
2. Engaging with prospective students at marketing and promotional events
3. Writing blog posts and testimonials about life in UL and the student experience
4. Contributing to our social media sites by taking part in promotional video and photo shoots
5. Assisting with the KBS School Visits process
6. Participating in a ‘Buddy Programme’ to help enrich the student experience for new and current students
7. Participate in focus groups and brainstorming sessions related to undergraduate promotion and recruitment.
Is this opportunity for me?
All hours volunteered (including for planning, meetings, etc.) will go towards the President’s Volunteer Award, for either the Bronze, Silver, or Gold Medal, and you will have until the end of April 2025 to accumulate hours. You can also combine the work you do with KBS with other volunteer efforts if you wish to do so.
You will have the freedom to select what initiatives you would like to be involved in, to suit your interests and availability, but we do ask that all Ambassadors participate in our Open Day events.

All training will be provided.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Most of the work associated with this role can be completed at a time that suits individual students. However, we do expect our Ambassadors to be present at key recruitment events such as UL Open Days and Experience Business @ UL events. Some of these may take place on weekday evenings.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
Applicants will be screened and invited for interview based on the information they supply in their application forms. Students who we feel do not meet the requirements for the role will not be invited for interview.
