Description

Our Kitty-Home Match-Makers identify and allocate foster kitties to forever homes.  

 

CDPA is a registered charity dedicated to caring and improving the lives of cats and dogs in Ireland. Our volunteers collaborate with local communities to reduce animal suffering through our Trap-Neuter-Return, foster-rehoming and welfare programmes.  

 

Commitment required: 3 months 

Minimum weekly commitment: 4 hours 

Location: Online

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Role Description  

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the kitties under CDPA’s care, their likes, dislikes and forever home requirements 

  • Support fosterers & kitties by answering questions, providing advice & guidance 

  • Liaise with Home Checkers and Fosterers to find suitable homes for CDPA kitties 

  • Allocate kitties to potential adopters & share information with Home Checkers 

  • Inform fosterers once kitties have been booked for adoption 

  • Keep accurate records of kitties offered/accepted/deferred 

Skills required for this role:

Desired Qualities 

Excellent communication, administration and computer skills required along with a desire to help find rescued animals loving new homes. 

 

Desired Experience 

  • Experience rehoming animals in a similar capacity and knowledge of animal welfare and behaviour are an advantage.  

Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week
