The main aim of this activity is to form bonds between the newcomers and the Irish community through the art of storytelling. Activities will be performed in English which will give an opportunity for the newcomers to practice their English skills with a native speaker. Natives will enhance their understanding of other cultural groups while fostering perspective-taking and empathy. In overall, the activity aims to empower participants showing that their voices, stories, actions and lives matter. We run this activity in 4-week sessions. So you can join in a 4-week bracket that suits you, after applying we will discuss this with you.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Your Responsibilities include:
-Participate actively in the 4-week Language and Story Exchange activities. This include show up to the weekly meetings and communicate actively with other participants
-Organise and schedule personalised meetings with your assigned partner during the second and third week.
-Be respectful and make sure you contribute to provide a comfortable and safe space for everyone.

You should be committed to participating fully during at least a 4 week period. This period can extend depending on your interest to get involved in further activities and your performance.
During this 4 weeks period is expected your participation in up to 2 hours meeting once per week.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
