Oxfam Shop Volunteer
Requirements:Energetic, enthusiastic volunteers required for our Independent Living, Advocacy & Assistive Technology Camp
This residential camp includes activities that promote and support independent travel, social & communication skills, organisational skills, peer support, self-advocacy and the use of assistive technology. There are sessions for parents and siblings who will also have opportunities to meet other families informally and in group sessions to share experiences and ideas.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
As a volunteer, you will be expected to help NCBI staff and students during activities and moving between the different venues for classes and breaks/meal times.

Ideally volunteers will be available for the full 3 days of the event.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
All applicants will be Garda Vetted by us, the organisation. Volunteers must be available to attend an informal interview and induction/training prior to the event. All of our volunteers are required to complete the HSE online “Children First” course - this will be organised with us the organisation. The online training presentation takes approx 1-2 hours and on completion a certificate of successful completion is issued. Volunteer accommodation will be provided if required.
