Requirements:
We would be delighted to welcome applicants who may have an interest in volunteering in a primary school in Limerick City. Our school is a multicultural, inclusive and vibrant place. We would welcome applicants who may have an interest in the areas of sport, music, technology or providing support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
We will provide training and a welcome environment.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Playground supervision/games
Support the class teacher with tasks in the classroom
Support small groups of children with their school work
Skills required for this role:
A good work ethic
Good communication skills
Punctuality / reliability
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Our school day is from 9am to 2.30pm. We do our best to facilitate hours that volunteers are available.
Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
A chat with the Principal in relation to the school setting.
