Galway Simon Community
Requirements:Sleeping bag and warm, rain resistant clothing
We are calling on people from Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and beyond to give up their beds on Friday 30th September for one night and raise vital funds for those facing homelessness here in the West.
Take the challenge and join one of our Community Sleep Outs taking place across Galway City and County or organise your own Sleep Out in a safe place of your choosing. This could be a tent in your back garden in Boyle, a trampoline in Claremorris, a garden shed in Headford or an office car park in Vancouver. By joining either of these Sleep Out for Simon events you’re guaranteed to come away with a sense of pride at making a difference.
Register as an individual or a team.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
If you decide to join one of our organised Community Sleep Outs in Shops Street, Salthill, Loughrea or Oranmore-Maree we ask you to arrive at 7pm and be ready to hit the streets, shake our collection buckets and help with a pub collection around 9pm. Bedding down takes place at various times depending on location. Hot food and beverages will also be provided that night and early in the morning before we pack up.
However, you may prefer to organise your own Sleep Out with your friends! In that case, all you need to do is register on the link above and get fundraising!!!
Please check out our dedicated Sleep Out for Simon website to learn how to make the best of your fundraising.
