The IASAS Student Leader Global Summit is an annual event that provides a global platform to bring student leaders from different parts of the world together to discuss student governance, leadership, mental health and wellbeing, or other topics of shared interest.
Student Volunteers will be
- trained
- supported
- guided
- recognised
for engaging the attendees from all over the world in Cork as Summit Ambassadors!
Is training provided?: Yes
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Volunteers need strong communication skills. The Summit aims to host 40 international students from across the Globe. Therefore Ambassadors should be willing to learn and know about UCC and Cork to support the visitors.
You may be interested in volunteering for more than one day of the Summit. The Summit runs from June 17th-19th.
Assisting the Summit involves:
- being willing to help set up workshop spaces, assist with speaker preperation
- directing and guiding individuals
- being familiar with the schedule, locations and being helpful throughout the event to ensure a smooth experience for all!
Skills required for this role:
Volunteers can join in and support in the social and fun activities to welcome visitors to UCC!
Minimum time commitment per week:
6 hour p/week
