Volunteers invited to enter the pool for a 45 minute swimming session with primary school children with special needs once a week. Sessions will be fully supervised and guided by a swimming instructor and lifeguard.

May appeal to students who are participating in a leadership course, Gaisce, transition year, or 3rd level students who wish to volunteer for only 1 hour a week.

Volunteers would need to make their own travel arrangements to Leisureland swimming pool and be comfortable in the water and comfortable working with primary age kids.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
8 pool sessions of 45 minutes each - 11am-11.45am. Every Wednesday starting 29th April - 24th June (EXCLUDING 3rd June). Leisureland Swimming Pool in Salthill.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
