Requirements:Student of University College Cork

Description

Volunteer to raise awareness and money for cancer. Fundraise for different charities such as Movember and the Marie Keating Foundation. Take part in fun and important events such as Relay For Life. Learn new skills and make new friends along the way.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Attend the weekly Cancer Society Events.

Help out with selling cakes for bake sales.

Encourage people to donate for bucket collections.

Set up your own fundraiser for Cancer and ask for donations.

Skills required for this role:

communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work with other volunteers and interact with the public while raising awareness.

Organisational skills to be able to get the required work done for every event to make sure enough awareness as possible can be raised.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
One hour or more per week from Monday to Friday, mainly during College hours

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
