As part of our volunteer programme, we offer a unique internship opportunity which we have been running since 2018, called VAIP (Visual Arts Internship Programme).

The VAIP programme give interns the chance to network with many of Ireland’s arts and cultural workers and provide both physical and digital completion certificates. They receive all the perks available to GIAF volunteers, including tickets to selected shows and discounts on local businesses.

Through the programme, Galway International Arts Festival hopes to give budding arts administrators a rewarding experience that will allow them to make valuable contributions to the Irish cultural sector of the future.

The opportunity to go behind the scenes of the Festival visual arts programme may be of interest to some of your students and I would appreciate it if you could share relevant information with them.
