Join our Board of Directors, 

Over 18, understanding of voluntary services and good governance.  

Available to attend monthly board meetings, in person in our building, 28 John Street or via zoom. 

This is only suitable for people who can comittee longterm with an exspected term to be for 3 years

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Northstar Board of Management Terms of Reference

  • The board will meet monthly, until otherwise decided by the board  
  • Meetings will start on time and will never run longer than 2 hours
  • The coordinator will organise the meetings and circulate minutes and notification.
  • The minutes will be taken by the Coordinator. The board members will highlight points to be minted.
  • Members of the board are responsible to follow through on the actions they have agreed to do
  • Board members who fail to attend three consecutive meetings without reasonable explanation will forfeit their place on the Board
  • Board members will be familiar with the overall finances of the company
  • The board will oversee and Line Manage the Project Coordinator
  • A quorum will consist of ½ plus 1 of Board members *
  • Northstar Board of Management Membership is 8 with a quorum of 4 for a Board meeting

Skills required for this role:

The board is current;y looking for a person between the ages of 18 and 25 to join the board. 

This age range is currently not repersented in our serive and we would like the oppertunity to connect wit this age range. We are looking for someone with an understnafding of hwo best to connect with this age range     

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
