Requirements:Must have completed or be completing a college course
SparkED is a youth leadership programme that empowers young people to take their future into their own hands, being a leader within themselves and in the wider community. Our aim is to provide second-level students with valuable life skills that are applicable in third-level education and the world of work.
On our website sparked.ie we have a section in which college students give an insight into their college courses. We want to provide our students with useful information from a broad range of courses from many different colleges. Our programme is free to DEIS schools and we are a voluntary organisation.
If you are interested please make a video answering the following questions:
1. What course are you doing and where?
2. Why did you pick this course?
3. What do you like about the course?
4. What do you dislike about the course?
5. What did you wish you knew before starting the course?
6. What advice would you give to your first year self?
7. What are the employment prospects from doing your course?
8. What was the highlight of your time in college?
The video should be roughly between 3 and 6 minutes long. Preferably make the video in one take.
The length of time it takes you to make the video will be counted towards your PVA. It shouldn't take longer than 1 - 3 hours.
