An exciting opportunity for students to gain experience working with young people (Over 10yrs) at Castleconnell Teens Club, Castleconnell, Limerick.

As a Youth Club Volunteer you will work with other volunteers and young people to:

• Welcome young people, volunteers and guest instructors to the youth club
• Organsie and run events such as themed nights
• Share your skills and experince with teenagers and fellow volunteers 
• Gain invaluable experince working with young people 
• Get to know fellow volunteers 
• Take part in youth work/club training 
• Have fun! 

Volunteers will recieve ongoing support from Limerick Youth Service'sYouth Work team.

Castleconnell Teens Club is a part of the LYS East Limerick Youth Project, a youth organisation that engages with over 5,000 young people annually across a number of sectors including: youth work, education, training and many more.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

All volunteers will have to complete the following:

• Complete a Limerick Youth Service Volunteer Induction Form
• Complete Garda Vetting Form
• Take part in LYS Volunteer Inducition Training
  • this will include youth work games, icebreakers etc
• Take part in Child Safeguarding Training

Skills required for this role:

• English language
• Extra skills such as music, sports, drama etc are an advantage

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Weekday afternoon with date TBC

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
