Teen-Turn provides hands on STEM experience to girls from underrepresented areas. In 2020 we begin our after school activity, Technovation. The project is 12 weeks and runs Fridays 3:30pm-5pm in Griffith College Limerick. 

Technovation Equips young women (ages 10-18) to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. With the support of volunteer mentors, girls work in teams to code mobile apps that address real-world problems. The girls will also create a business plan to get their app onto the market. 

Our volunteers range from many different backgrounds to engineering, science, teaching, sociology and computer science. We are looking for students either in their 3rd or final year. 

The hours are 1.5 every week, 

10th Jan,17th Jan, 24th Jan,31st Jan, 7th Feb, 14th Feb, 28th Feb, 6th March, 13th March, 20th March,

27th March, 3rd April. 

Is training provided?: No

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
