Galway Autism Partnership (GAP) is a community based Charity that provides much needed support and services for children, young people, and adults living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their friends, and family.
GAP is looking to support as many people living with Autism as we can - to do this we rely on the help of our Volunteers.
We are currently seeking volunteer club assistants to help out in:
- Weekend social clubs for children ages 3 - 12 years
- Evening social and special interest clubs for teenagers
- Weekend special interest clubs for children ages 3 - 12 years (areas include fitness and games, lego, arts and crafts, outdoor adventure)
By helping out for just 2 - 3 hours a week in one of our Clubs or Camps, you can make a huge impact on the lives of families living with Autism. No experience working with Autistic people is required - we need Volunteers who are reliable, responsible and caring. Ability to have fun, play and get involved is a must!
Comprehensive training and induction will be provided and volunteers will receive supervision - this is a great opportunity to expand your skills set, gain experience and meet some wonderful people
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
We ask volunteer to share 3 hours per month of their time with GAP.
Volunteering opportunities normally take place:
Monday to Friday evenings
Saturdays
Sundays
Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hour p/week
