Description

DIT Societies Committee members are active and vibrant Volunteers! 

Through this website you can record the volunteering work and hours you put into building your Societies. These hours will be recorded and can contribute to your applications for awards at our local Societies Awards, Nationally at BICS (Board of Irish College Societies) Awards and may make you eligable for a DIT Student Volunteering Pillar of the Community Award! 

 

Student Leaders who are in the roles below may register their volunteering here: 

  • Chairperson 
  • Vice-Chairperson 
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer 
  • Members of Budget Committees
  • Members of the Media and Arts Committee
  • Members of the Volunteering Committee 
  • Members of the Soceities Executive. 

Is training provided?: Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Only students actively involved at committee level for the DIT Societies can register here. 

Volunteering work you already do for your Soceities may include: 

  • administration work
  • event planning 
  • event work 
  • communications and correspondence 
  • attending and contributing to Committee meetings
  • Keeping Financial records 
  • chairing meetings or AGMs 
  • ... many many more! 

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
