Description

The European Parliament has launched an apolitical citizen-led information campaign known as This Time I'm Voting, which aims to spread awareness about and encourage citizens to vote in the European elections taking place on 24 May.

The goal of This Time I’m Voting is not to tell people who they should vote for: it is to promote the act of voting itself, the act of engaging in the democratic process; and the act of doing so in a conscious and fully informed way.

Our campaign website www.thistimeimvoting.eu has taken off in the last few months. It aims to build an online community of active citizenship and to motivate citizens to pledge to vote and spread the word about the European elections next May. The campaign is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who are actively willing and poised to promote active citizenship in Europe, and tell other people why they should rally around the cause too! It is not enough to just to hope for a better future, we must actively take responsibility in shaping that future. The volunteers can get involved in a myriad of ways: by hosting events for other volunteers/family/friends; leafleting their localities; producing content to share on their own social media etc.

In addition to showing your support, you can identify yourself as a volunteer, willing to promote the elections of your own volition.
