Requirements:TU Dublin Student Leadership training workshop
The LIFT Ireland Facilitator Workshop has been developed by a team of experts aimed at supporting Ireland's leaders.
We want you, our students, to get on board as LIFT Facilitators and to benefit as much as possible!
As such, TU Dublin is offering the opportunity for our students to become LIFT Facilitators through a one off 4 hour training session (Dates below).
This training session will be four consecutive hours (12pm-4pm) with a short break and lunch will be provided to all who attend the full session.
Following this TU Dublin students will be qualitifed as LIFT Facilitators and will have the opportunity to carry out their own roundtable sessions with their student peers students with each session lasting approx. 45 minutes.
You will receive course materials for the roundtable sessions - everything you need is provided and there is no need for preparation for the sessions in advance.*
The roundtable discussions allow participants to confidentially and discreetly discuss up to 8 key leadership values:
Listening, Positive Attitude, Respect, Competence, Dedication & Determination, Empathy & Understanding, Accountability, and Honesty & Integrity.**
Register your interest here by pressing apply and telling us which session you would like to attend. You will be invited to the training sessions via email with the confirmed room. Please choose whichever session works best with your schedule and location:
Benefits of being a LIFT Facilitator?
*Support for our LIFT Facilitators at TU Dublin?
The brilliant aspect of LIFT is that being a facilitator is really well supported:
The programme comes with a workbook with step-by-step instructions and the entire programme is scripted. This means that your role as Facilitator is a great opportunity to build practice and confidence in facilitating a group, in a safe, structured and guided way. All of the sessions are conducted in a discreet non-judgemental way. You do not need to come up with group content, or manage a group - instead, you get to focus on the experience.
So if you have any concerns we want you to know that we will support you all the way and we know you can do it!
The LIFT programme is powerful and uses plain and simple approaches and languages to be accessible to all.
