Would you like to learn more about content creation, and using social media as a communication tool?

Are you looking to learn essential skills in planning content, organising deadlines and working to a brief?

Could you enhance the social media profile of LIO and the work of our local community partners?

If so then becoming a Social Media Ambassador for Limerick Inside Out is just the role for you!

All hours volunteered count towards your Plassey President's Volunteer Award. 

Once you complete your time as an SMA you will receive a certificate of participation and a letter of acknowledgment for your contribution to the University and the programme.

Gain a new experience which will enhance your CV and open doors for you to the world of content creation.

Prizes are available for the most innovative or thought provoking posts.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • To communicate the events and current happenings of their LIO experience.
  • To promote the profile of LIO, local community partners, local business, the university and the city itself.
  • To help to develop and grow a global network with prospective students and former LIO alumni.
  • To create content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and adhere to their allocated time on the schedule.

Skills required for this role:

  • Reliability: You are expected to be present and punctual if offering help with an event.
  • Professionalism: You are representing LIO and the university, so we expect that you take your role seriously.
  • Communication: Be polite, friendly, respectful and sensitive to others at all times, both online and in person.
  • Influence: You are the face of the university. Your role involves you relaying information about your experience to prospective students. You will be highly influential in their decision to study with us.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Subject to schedule. 12 volunteers hours over the course of one semester. Weekly limit of 3 hours a week (however students can volunteer as many additional hours as they would like).

Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hour p/week
