Kiltartan Gregory Cultural Soc & Yeats Thoor Ballylee Dev,CLG
To work alongside other volunteers welcoming visitors to the former summer home of the poet W.B. Yeats at Thoor Ballylee., An opportunity to meet with Yeats' scholars and students from all over the world . Trained to give guided tours of the 14 th. century castle, imparting knowledge of the history of the area & of the works of W.B. Yeats & the Yeats family.
Will become familiar with the work & life of the poet .
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Give guided tours.
Handling admissions and taking group bookings.
Serving complimentary tea/coffee
Skills required for this role:
Good communicator, outgoing personality. Interest in literature and have good knowledge of our History.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Can discuss number of days/ hours per day that the volunteer can work.
Minimum time commitment per week:
8 hour p/week
