The Annual Flag Day is COPE Galway's unique opportunity to collect funds by shaking the bucket in the streets of Galway.

We are looking for volunteers to help for 2 hours or more and need 20 people at all times to make a great impact in Shop Street.

We invite all friends who want to volunteer together to contact us and tell us what time they would like to volunteer at.

We will start at 10am and finish at 6pm.

Is training provided?: Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Shake the bucket for 2 hours or more
  • Make eye contact with and smile to the passers by
  • Thank all donors
  • For any further queries from the public, refer to the person in charge on the day.

  • Be easy going
  • Be friendly
  • Be courteous
  • Be approachable

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Saturday 13 May from 10am until 6pm. We are looking for volunteers to help for 2 hours or more.

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
This is a once off volunteering opportunity. Volunteers will hold a gardai permit and may be asked for their photo ID on the day.
