Description

The primary role of the fundraiser it to secure financial support for The Afforestation Project through face-to-face collection as well as raise awareness of our charity and its impact.  This can be a great opportunity for a student or someone passionate about the environment and climate change.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Participate in money collection at various venues, as part of our team.
-Engage with potential donors in a pleasant, knowledgeable and kind manner to encourage donations.
-The potential candidate must familiarize him/herself with our charity mission statement and goals so that they can easily answer any questions a potential donor may ask

 

We also offer a 30% commission fee to every applicant from the donations they collect

Skills required for this role:

The successful candidate must posses the following:

-Timeliness and commitment - there are at least 3 monthly collections and we require a minimum commitment of at least 1 per month
-Honesty and respect - we expect the candidate to be courteous to the public and his/her teammates and to deliver all donations to the coordinator in-charge at the end of the collection.
-Dedication - the candidate must be knowledgeable about our cause and engage with potential donors in a kind and enthusiastic manner at all times.

 

We also offer a 30% commission fee to every applicant from the donations they collect

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Collections take place at the 3Arena between the hours of 5-9pm. Dates are confirmed directly with the volunteers in advance.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
