Requirements:This opportunity is only available to registered DIT Students. No other volunteering experience or requirements are needed.


DIT Student Volunteering invites you to Volunteer at the Annual Volunteering Induction Project: the Broombridge Canal Clean-up. 

Free Food, Drinks & T-shirt for all Volunteers! 

The area of the Broombridge Canal is a litter black-spot and DIT Student Volunteers help the local communities and wildlife by cleaning it up every September! 

Student Volunteers will meet in DIT Bolton St from 2.30pm on Thursday Sept 7th. 

Together we will travel by private coach to the Broombridge area of the Royal Canal in Canra, Dublin 7. From 3pm - 5pm we will use tools and equipment provided by Waterways Ireland to clean up litter in the area. 

We will return together to Bo-co's for food and drinks (opposite DIT Bolton St). 

Free Food, Drinks & T-shirt for all Volunteers! 

Is training provided?: No

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Cleaning up litter from the Broombridge Canal Area, Cabra, Dublin 7. 

Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hour p/week
