Geraldines football club is over 80 years old and have been providing a football outlet to schoolkids in the local community. In the last number of years the number of kids involved has grown and there is a need to increase our coaching support.
This volunteer opportunity will allow you to gain coaching experience with our underage teams (raning from under 7 to under 12s) and help provide important support to our club and community.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to provide coaching assistance on a regular or ad hoc basis. You would be working with existing coaches to run training sessions, including football drills and overall physical agility. Training sessions are weekly for a maximum of 60 mins.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Work with other coaches to organize football coaching drills
Create fun environment for kids to learn football
Include Agility, Balance and Co-ordination exercises
Skills required for this role:
Experience in co-ordinating football training sessions
Working with kids under 12 years old
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Monday evening, Wednesday evening or Saturday morning depending on the age group involved.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
Required to talk with representative of the club before starting
