About Us :

The Haven Hub is an out of hours support centre for people that are struggling to cope or are at risk of suicide.  We opened our doors in November 2019 and have since had over 200 interventions. We were initially based in the Red Brick Social Services building on Henry Street Limerick but due to Covid-19 the building has been unavailable since March 2020.

During the pandemic currently we offer telephone support to people who are struggling. This is usually 7 nights a week (depending).

We have had use of Jimmy Collins Make Up Academy on Steamboat Quay Limerick City during 2020. We have been operating from here since August but use of this premises is only temporary. We are open Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm until 2am (When level of restrictions lift). We are in touch with two Patrol Groups in Limerick City and encourage them to bring people they meet by the river to the Haven Hub where we can offer support to them away from the elements, offer them their dignity and most importantly follow up with them.

As mentioned above we are currently operating through phone support due to COVID-19 restrictions but volunteers will be notified when we are able to go back to our location for face to face support. Again, all training will be provided to volunteers.
